African swine fever is often transmitted through wild boars. For a long time, wild boars were not hunted sustainably enough in Germany. For this reason, some regions have very high wild boar populations. It is not uncommon for swine fever to be transmitted to domestic pigs by infected wild boars. The General Secretary of the German Farmers' Association also fears: "The plague is getting closer!"
As soon as a pig is infected with swine fever, all pigs on the affected holding must be killed by culling. The spread of African swine fever in Germany would therefore have serious economic consequences.
You are well protected with our Hunting and Forest Swine Fever infection protection set. DACH Schutzbekleidung offers you the best protection in your daily work with pigs. We have put together top PPE products for you. PPE stands for your personal protective equipment and usually consists of several products. In order to enjoy the best protection against swine fever, we have created a complete protection package for you: the Pandemic Protection Set from DACH Schutzbekleidung.
The most important measure to prevent the spread of the animal disease is hygiene. This is one of the most important measures to prevent the spread of the African pig disease. You should therefore wear adequate protective clothing when working.
The protective clothing (including shoes) should remain in the barn or pen and be washed and disinfected regularly. If disposable protective clothing is used, it must be safely disposed of after use.
Disposable overalls and overboots can be used as single-use protective clothing. After use, they can be disposed of in the residual waste.
