Clean food

Proper gloves - healthy employees.

The Food Hygiene Regulation obliges all companies that handle food to ensure the best possible consumer protection and a high level of personal hygiene. Since we do most of the work with our hands, hand protection plays an important role. Not every glove delivers what it promises and protects your health and products as well as our environment!

Powdered latex and vinyl gloves are still used in many food companies, which pose a health risk and a risk of contamination of your products. Research results show that glove powder, as a carrier of the allergenic natural latex protein, contributes to the spread of latex allergy. The powder particles get into the air and on the mucous membranes when unpacking, putting on and taking off the gloves. The product can also be contaminated in this way.

Vinyl gloves, while cheap, are made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC). To make PVC pliable, the plasticiser diethylhexyl phthalate is added. These phthalate plasticisers are suspected of having a carcinogenic effect and are transferred to food through contact with food - especially oils and fats. Phthalates therefore not only pose a dermal hazard for employees but also pose a health risk for end consumers. In addition, PVC is a chemically stable compound that does not rot. When burned, highly toxic dioxins can be produced. The ingredients of the soft PVC can get into the groundwater and thus damage our environment.

Being an experienced manufacturer of protective clothing, DACH Schutzbekleidung GmbH & Co. KG recommends the use of powder-free nitrile gloves.

Our company was founded in 1996, and has set numerous accents on the occupational safety market with its products.
