Protects against chemical splashes and infectious agents. Sealed seams and a self-adhesive chin strap provide reliable protection. Knitted cuffs with thumb loops ensure a secure fit.

The BioSafe REF 561 was designed for demanding applications that require reliable protection against biological hazards, liquid chemicals, and contaminated particles. Its spray-resistant construction with taped seams provides a high level of protection and ensures safe working conditions even under challenging conditions.

The protective suit is certified as Category III PPE and meets the requirements for protection classes 4-B, 5-B, and 6-B in accordance with EN 14605, EN ISO 13982-1, EN 13034, and EN 14126. The multi-layer material combines a soft, skin-friendly non-woven fabric on the inside with a microporous PE film on the outside, which is breathable yet liquid-repellent. All seams are taped to prevent liquids from penetrating through the seams. The ergonomic cut ensures a high degree of freedom of movement, while the elastic waistband supports an optimal fit. Elastic knit cuffs with integrated thumb loops ensure a secure transition to protective gloves and minimize exposed areas. The comfortable hood is designed to fit securely even when worn with respiratory masks. The self-adhesive zipper cover with extended chin guard provides increased protection in the particularly vulnerable neck area. The high level of protection is demonstrated by a resistance to penetration by contaminated liquids containing bacteriophages of 20 kPa (EN Class 6) and a resistance to mechanically transmitted pathogens of over 75 minutes (EN Class 6). Repellency indices of over 95% and penetration indices of less than 1% were achieved against sulfuric acid (30%), sodium hydroxide (10%), and butanol. In addition, the suit meets the requirements of EN 1149-5 for electrostatic properties and EN 1073-2 for radioactive contamination from solid particles, and is recommended for ISO Class 6 to 9 cleanrooms based on the Helmke Drum Test Category II.
