The REF 180W cleanroom hood has been developed for demanding cleanroom applications where the lowest possible particle emission and comprehensive coverage of the head, neck and shoulder areas are required. The integrated shoulder cover ensures reliable protection against contamination, even during physical activity.

The cleanroom hood is classified as Category I PPE and is made from antistatic-treated polypropylene non-woven fabric. In the Helmke Drum Test in accordance with IEST-RP-CC003.4, it achieved the highest rating, Category I, and is recommended for cleanrooms in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14644-1, ISO Classes 6 to 9. The design, comprising a head section, two side panels and an integrated shoulder cover, provides extensive coverage of the upper body. Elasticated bands around the face ensure a secure fit and help to reduce additional particle emissions. Further elasticated cuffs at the junction between the head section and the shoulder cover ensure a reliable seal without restricting the wearer’s freedom of movement. The shoulder cover provides additional protection for the upper torso and reduces open gaps between the hood and clothing. The very low particle emission is confirmed by the results of the Helmke Drum Test.
