Description
The liquid-repellent protective gown, which is 130 cm long, is closed at the front and is securely fastened with ties at the neck and waist. Knitted cuffs enhance comfort. The material has been tested for resistance to infectious agents and cytostatic drugs.
The IsoCoat Zytex® 360 REF 425Y was specifically designed for applications where both infection control and the safe handling of cytostatic drugs are key priorities. The specially developed Zytex® material provides a high level of protection and helps safeguard healthcare professionals in demanding work environments.
The isolation gown is made of the specialized material Zytex® and is classified as both Category I PPE and a Class I medical device. The material has been tested in accordance with EN 14126 for protection against the penetration of blood and viruses and additionally tested in accordance with EN ISO 6529 for the permeation of cytostatic drugs. Zytex® was specifically developed for handling cytostatic drugs and exhibits high impermeability to these active substances. The opening at the back allows for easy donning and doffing, while two tie belts ensure a secure and individually adjustable fit. Knitted polyester cuffs provide a reliable seal at the wrist and improve coverage when worn with protective gloves. In the Helmke Drum Test according to IEST-RP-CC003.4, the material achieved Category II and is recommended for cleanrooms in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14644-1, ISO Classes 6 through 9. With a length of 130 cm, the gown offers extensive coverage and is suitable for use in sensitive medical and pharmaceutical areas. Furthermore, no adverse reactions were observed during the dermatological compatibility test.
