In the field of medicine, the aim is to prevent the transmission of diseases by pathogens such as viruses or bacteria. In doing so, patients as well as medical and nursing staff must be protected. Medical protective equipment or medical protective clothing are medical products that primarily serve the purpose of minimising the risk of infection in hospitals or medical practices in such a way that patients are protected in the best possible way. They serve to prevent so-called nosocomial infections – the “hospital-acquired infections”.

A complete re-certification is carried out every three years. Thereafter, an annual surveillance audit takes place to ensure that the requirements of the quality management system are also met.

Medical protective clothing occupies a high position in medicine, as it protects doctors and medical staff from direct contact with potentially infectious substances. Regardless of whether they are doctors or nurses – it must be avoided that diseases and germs of the patient are transmitted to the medical staff. This is the purpose of personal protective equipment (PPE). PPE fulfils the purpose of protecting the wearer of the protective equipment from significant risks to life and limb. Personal protective equipment is subject to the regulatory requirements of the European PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425. DACH Schutzbekleidung has been developing high-quality PPE for over 20 years and manufactures it in China and in Germany.
